How do I crop my photos?

Most of the photos printed with Cheerz products are in a square format (it's kind of our signature!). But what you'll find is that unless you're using Instagram, many of your photos will have a standard 16:9 format... which means that you'll need to crop them to fit properly in your Cheerz products like the prints, photo albums or whatever you choose to make. There's nothing worse than having a head chopped off!

To crop your photos, you can use our in-app or in-site tool:

  • Once you've selected your photos, click "continue" at the top right corner
  • Now, you'll be taken to a customisation page. Click on one of your photos to see a window appear.
  • Click the first icon underneath the photo, which is a square made of 4 arrows
  • Slide your rectangular photo within the square to choose where it is cropped
  • Click the green tick to save

It's a little bit different with the album:

  • Once you've selected your photos, click "continue" at the top right corner
  • Select your cover photo, your album colour, theme and title, then click "continue" again in the top right corner
  • Hover over one of your photos to see a little icon appear in the top left corner, then click
  • A new window will appear. Click the icon underneath the photo, which is a square made of 4 arrows
  • Slide your rectangular photo within the square to choose where it is cropped
  • Click the green tick to save

On your mobile app:

  • Once you've selected your photos, click "next" at the top right corner
  • On each photo, you'll see an icon at the top left corner, which you need to click
  • Slide your rectangular photo within the square to choose where it is cropped, with your finger

With the album, still on the mobile app:

  • Once you've selected your photos, click "next" at the top right corner
  • Select your cover photo, your album colour, theme and title, then click "next" again in the top right corner
  • Press and hold on the photo you'd like to crop, then slide it within the square. Be sure to save it!
